Counting The Costs of Floods

The financial costs of the recent floods in Alborz Province which damaged people’s homes, farms, gardens, bridges and roads, have been estimated at $6.25 million. However, this amount does not include the massive damage to infrastructure that is under assessment, said Abolghasem Bagheri, director general of the Alborz Crisis Management Organization.  Following last week’s heavy rains and flooding in the province, nine villages were affected with Sijan being the hardest-hit, ISNA reported.
