A relatively strong earthquake measuring 4.2 degrees on the Richter scale jolted Suza in the southern province of Hormuzgan early Thursday. The tremor struck the town in the Persian Gulf Qeshm island at 04:54 pm local time (00:24 GMT) on Thursday. There were no reports of casualties or damage to property. According to the seismological unit of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quake was felt at 26.56 degrees latitude and 55.89 degrees longitude and its epicenter was registered at a depth of 10 km, reports IRNA.
